you can try rolling you factory fenders with a rolling tool that attaches to your lug studs, i'm not sure if that will give you enough clearance or not, but its worth a try.
have you removed your fenders to see if the wheels will fit around the knuckle, brakes, etc.. then you can get a good idea of how much they will stick out of the fender well too

yea the wheels bolt up nicely, they clear eveything bar the fenders, once the car is off the jack the frnder rests on the tire. the tire sticks out about an inch, i can all work iif i jack the suspension up and inch or so, but i dont really wanna do this
i guess i should have mentioned in the 1st post, i have a 4th gen lude, im looking for something i can revit on really, i dont want to much hassle with filling and painting

those tires are wicked tall. by calculation, the increased diameter will give you the same overall drive ratio as if you had a 3.90 FD on stock diameter tires.

the tire diameter is 25.8
the way we figured it was im crossing the line hitting the rev limiter in 4th gear and i was using BFG T/A DRAG radials then 225/50/15, so to make the gear ratio longer we decided to use a taller tire (please correct me if im wrong) so we go thro the line just before rev limit in 4th
im pushing 529hp
plus im adding a bit of laughin gas at the next track event
the reason i need fender flares is because the tire sticks out an 1" and when the car is lowered down off the jack, the fender rests on the tire, i dont really wanna jack the suspension up an inch or so.

lol you do need rubber then!! hahah
it will be very noticeably geared taller, should help you put power down in the earlier gears too because the taller tires actually slightly lower the amount of torque that reaches the pavement

Your best bet is a combination of raising the front, cutting the fenders around an inch around the edges, and roll them in. Even if you can get your suspension jacked up in the front to clear the tires, what happens when you're at the backend of the track and on the brakes hard?
the car is street driven aswell, so i want to do a half decent job of it, i am going to have to cut the fenders anyhow cause i dont wnna keep adjusting the hieght every time i put my street tires on. maybe im just being a fuss
but if i have the wider fenders then i can leave it at the hieght it is now and swap over the wheels with no hassle really
