is my vtec solenoid supposed to have only one plug. 95 gsr.

well the vtec is not engaging the ecu is throwing a code for the pressure valve?
but there is no plug for the pressure valve, it only has the solenoid plug? do i need to get a solenoid that as it?

The oil pressure switch is below the VTEC solenoid.

Sounds like a JDM type r vtec solenoid. They do not have the oil pressure switch.

yeah bur it's not there...

when i drive the car the vtec dies not engage. but it does do something when it hits 5.5.
could it be cause idt doesn't have the oil pressure switch that it is not fully engaging...the ECu is looking for it.

JDM engines don't have the pressure switch, USDM ECUs look for it. Can't have both. You can bypass the switch though.

so if the ecu is looking for it than is better to just ge a new solinoid that has both and hook it up...will it work then?

also is there i should use or does everyone jsut run the wires and add the plugs?

you can just run the wire. It's commonly done. However, your gsr harness should already have plug. BTW, you are hearing your secondaries open up at 5500.
