Yes. You'll probably pass the sniffer if tuned well but the visual check is a no go. You have to make friends with somebody at a garage and toss them an extra 20 or so to get your sticker. If you just take it in they will **** their pants and send you home for fear of a 10k dollar fine if they pass you.

 

or live in denton county and take it to a secret inspection station, where they don't even pull your car out of the parking lot..lol

Yeah, Tarrant but I'm sure Dallas is the same. Not sure about others. Denton is pretty loose from what I'm told...a guy I know with a bad boy 500 HP RX7 says he drives out there for inspection. He doesn't even have a cat...

 

well if they try to plug in an OBD II scan tool and i have aem ems...i wonder what bad things will happen?

 

That's what I've been wondering. I think they're doing that here now also since a couple of months ago but I'm not sure. Like I said, just get in good with some younger guys and they'll usually hook you up for an extra 20-40 bucks. Last time I went they just pulled a Ranger in and smogged it, slapped the sticker on mine, and I was done.

 

worst case i gotta drop turbo and install stock injectors and stock ecu and stock header/cat and go test.
