Searching for the answer. Socketing/Chipping with Phearable kit. I've already got the ZIF socket in and I'm wondering if it's covering the location for the resistor?
All the how-to's I'm finding say r54.Where is it?
Trying to get going tonight, thanks if you can help.

p73 ecus are obd2
A p72 which is what I am guessing you are using does not have an r54 component location, hence you don't need the resistor.

Thanks alot, John. Yeah..I had just edited the title.
Your correct, I feel stupid. I was searching for about an hour to button it up. Found mention of it on another site.
That de-soldering was almost impossible. I couldn't get the wick to perform, and my cheapie solder sucker wasn't much better.
I just drove through Tampa a couple weeks ago headed to Clearwater. If I'd have known your shop was there I would've checked in. Don't know when I'll be back to Fla. I'd love to see how the pros do it!
