Default jdm h22 oil pump swap

i have a 92 h22 jdm motor thats in my 97 prelude i currently just have it running by rigging the crank sensor to the obd1 distributer but im doing the udsm oil pump swap im trying to figure out what oil pump i am going to need along with the timing belt and tesnioner im not sure if the 92's have an auto tensioner or not just wanna get the right parts the first time thx guys

what oil pump will i need to put in i bought a 97 pump but im not sure it the 97 oil pump will fit the 92 block

you must have had one that was already converted... both of the H22A's i have bought were manufactured in fall '91(for 92year model) and both had auto tensioner

but what about that oil pump any others know if it will fit or not i am trying to find out b4 i pull apart my timing

any special tools ill need or anything to watch out for it should be pretty srtight forward right?

all the h22 oil pumps will fit any year h22 block, but the lower timing sprocket is slightly different. the obd1 lower sprocket will fit all years, but the obd2 sprocket will only fit obd2 pumps.

which lower timing sproket? the main crank sproket?

i guess you could call i the "main crank sprocket" but there is only one lower timing belt sprocket on these engines.
