14 inch tires
Is there a way to get low profile 14 inch tires? I need new tires for my OEM wheels and since my car is lowered I want some smaller aspect ratios because I rub a little bit as is. Is 60 or 55 the smallest? If so, there is no true low profile 14"...
If you go lower profile you will loose speedo calibration and will have the effect of lower gearing your final drive and also reduce your gas milage and cause the engine to rev a little higher to make the same speed. Sounds to me like you lowered it too much.
I don't have the stock steelies. I have some honda option wheels. I am raising the back a little so I don't rub the wheel well at all, but besides that, I kind of want some lower profile tires anyway. Is there a such thing?
Usually you would need to go larger in diameter to a , say 16" or 17" wheel and use a 35/40 profile tire. Youll get that "bicycle tire " look. Not for me, but if it floats your boat, go for it. Either way, you need to adjust your suspension height to clear.
