need a part that will let me hook up my speedo cable
i have a 91 crx si w/a b16a. the motor is a 91 jdm. it has a wire sensor on the tranny, i dont know what part i need, so i can hook it up. what is this part called, where can i fine it, whats it go for. thanks
Its called a VSS, variable speed sensor or simply Speed Gear. You can use the VSS from one of the older B series cable trannies or I think you can transfer your old one if its an Si.
my stock motor in the crx is the si one. but it would not work. the one on my b16a has a cable, like a plug for it to connect some where.
you can use the one form your stock CRX the coolant pies aren't nessesary to hook up.
you should be able to drop in the stock si VSS and it should work
the wire is for the JDM gauge cluster it uses an electronicly processed signal to determine Vehicle speed rather than a mechanical cable like the USDM stuff
