Default What should I do about the leak in my car?

Ok so heres my problem.I have a leak in my trunk and I discovered that the leak is somewhere behind the molding of the rear windshield.

I tried putting silicone but it still leaks.I was considering putting silicone around the entire windshield(neatly) but then I'm afraid that doing that wont allow the water to flow to the bottom of the car and will cause rust spots.I also considered having the glass removed, fix the leak and then have it reinstalled but I found out its pretty expensive to get that done.

I would like to remove the rear windshield myself so I can gain experience but It looks complicated to do.

So what I want to know is,what would you all do if you were in my situation?

Remove the windshield and check to see if there is any rust underneath, and repair if there is. Its not that hard to remove and replace, if your not comfortable just call a glass company in. Make sure to replcae the weather stripping while your at it

Silicone was the absolute worst shoice in the world to put in there...I hate to say this, but not only will nothing ever stick to silicone or where the silicone is for that matter, it can and will also cause rust if it is acid cure...

Your best best is to remove the rear window and reinstall it, and depending on the car you can get the weatehrstrip at any glass shop, and if you cant then PM me, I do glass for a living and Im sure I could get you one.

Oh and you will need urethane as well to re install that window.

Take it to a professional. I brought mine to a place near my house and they fixed my weather stripping and re-sealed my window for 100 bucks.
