Default Anyone using Drain Plug Oil Temp Sensor

Is anyone using the drain plug sensor location? Would like to see a picture of it mounted. Particularly how far is sticks out and how low it is in relation to the bottom of the pan.

Please don't post "weld a bung in"! I want to explore all options before making a final decision.

Thanks!

Another option is the Greddy sandwich plate on the oil filter. You can run a pressure sensor here as well.

i ran one for awhile then just decided to tap the pan instead. it didnt stick out too far, figure about an inch or so out from the drain plug, perpendicular to the drain plug, not straight down, so clearance wasnt really an issue. but it did make for a bit of a PITA to remove the plug to drain the oil.

disregard the other **** I had in here lol

If you're using the drain bolt hole, why do you need a picture? It'll look just like the drain plug with a wire sticking out of it.

Chris this is what I did and have been very happy with it. I too run the temp and pressure sensors off this adapter. I run the coolant sensor off the upper radiator hose (Greddy adapter that slips in the hose).

I did have an oil drain plug oil temperature sender on my car, but I thought it hung too low and I got tired of the wiring getting twisted every time I took the drain plug off to change the oil. Sorry I don't have any pictures, but those are my experiences with it.
