alright i have an em1(00 si).i got the engine rebuilt about 4-5 months ago.then a month after that i got the tranny rebuilt because my 5th gear was makin a noise whenevr id be cruising at about 80mph on the freeway when I LET GO OF THE GAS.when i was in gear it was not makin a noise.but as soon as i let off the gas,in gear,at 80-sumtimes even 60 IN 5TH it started makin a rattling noise in the stick shift.i have a skunk 2 short shifter and i was thinkin maybe the guy didnt install it right and it is jus loose.so any help wit that.cause i got the tranny rebuilt and everything is running good now but its still makin the noise and everything and im wondering why.SERIOUSLY JUS TIRED OF PUTTIN MONEY IN2 THIS CAR every 3 weeks.
any help wud help me out alot.im sort of new to this stuff.got the car 07 august

 

if the rattling is coming from the shifter you prob. have bad bushing in the shift linkage i ran into the same prob. all i had to do was replace em with new ones and tighten it a little and it stopped. best of luck to you
