Purge solenoid
If your running a P08 you don't need it at all, if your running a P28 i'd highly recomend that you get one. I'm not sure if it will throw a CEL, but i've been told that the engine wont idle correctly without it, just go to a junkyard and get one off a D15B7 or something.

The reason i said you don't need one when running the P08 is because the P08 is the real ECU for the JDM D15B vtec, that engine never came with a purge solinoid, it must be added to the back of the intake manifold if you are using a P28 ECU. or you can use a D16Z6 manifold, both are identical with the exception of the purge solinoid.

correct
i believe it wont uphold to some emissions standards though. the p08 is a fairly rare ECU from what I understand, and the p28 will do just fine, if you are using a p08, hooking up a purge solenoid is pointless (p08 isn't looking for one).
I did the same swap, and ended up using my old IM from my z6. My d15b came with a newer IM, when I took my old IM off I saw that the gasket was brand new so i called nippon motors and they told me that these motors were previously carburated (sp).... weird...

The earlier non vtec D15Bs came carburated, but all of the D15B vtecs were multiport fuel injection. heres a neat article on the D15B vtec, you've probably seen it before but i just thought i'd throw it in here anyway. http://asia.vtec.net/article/d15b/
