i just got da with a built b16a with port and polish head ,valsprings and retainers .skunk 2 intake manifols and cams and cam cears..dc headers ..tuned ecu...the guy said when they put the head on they didnt set it right so the timing needs to be fixed...is this true could that be why when taking off in 1st gear i have to give it more gas or it bogs out ..and when im driving it feels like it has no power it doesnt pull hard at all even when vtec pops it still doesnt go anywhere could the timing be causing all of this? and when im on the fwy doing about 70 the rpm is at 4500 shouldnt it be around 3 or 35000 please help!

 

cam spec? CR?tuned ecu..is it tuned to ur set up?which timing isnt right... the ign or the cam timing?
at what RPM did the vtec engaged?

 

vtec ingages at 5500 rpm how do i set the timing ?

 

yea cus im not sure whic timing is off it could be both cus it kinda hesitates to start to

 

set the ignition timing using timing light. as per cam timing set,u need the cam spec sheet.
what cam do u have? Compression Ratio of the piston ur using?

try search for how to set timing,there are a lot covered on HT. besides im crap at explaining. english isnt my mother tongue either.
