want to built a b16 head...let me know if anyone has this setup
ok guys i want to rebuilt my b16 head because right now im pushing 200 whp with gsr block with high compression piston and rods but my head has skunk2 tuners stage 2 and type r valvetrain which is not making the power i really want.... so i spoke to some people and told me to sell the used tuner cams and get
skunk2 pro series cams stage 1
skunk2 retainers and
skunk2 pro series valve spring set
sorry i had to make this a long story but i just want to know if anyone has a head built like this setup or if anyone thinks its ok

first off, im not sure why you are even risking using skunk2 stage 2 cams with type-r valve springs and retainers. that doesnt sound too safe over the long run and you definitely do NOT want to drop a valve.
the valve springs and retainers are a good security in itself. those wouldnt be a waste of money.
as for the pro1 cams... if you are looking for more peak hp, the pro1's are bound to give a little more peak hp than the stage 2, depending. just from my experience, my pro1's made around 6 more peak hp. the mid-range power and torque is where the pro1's really shine. if you are looking for more mid range, then go with the pro1's.
just fyi, these cams require a bit more tuning and the idle is lumpy. if i were you, i would replace the springs/retainers anyways and then see where you are from there.

well now i came up with a turbo and do you think i should still rebuild the head...

Good on you. You seem like a boost kinda guy. Pro-1's actually make really good good boost numbers, like 600+.
