Default B20/vtec oil leak

Ok i just had a b20/vtec (gsr) swap dropped into my 94 ls. I am having a oil leak problem. i have about 100 miles on it and it leaks from what i thought was the oil pan. i changed the seal and torque it down to specs but still leaks. it does not leak on idle but after i drive. It starts on the front cam side and works its way all across the front side. I don't see any leak on the back side. It looks like it is shooting oil all around on the driver side. i see it on my control arms leaking down to my rims. I have read that it is normal at first but goes away but i went trough 4 quarts of oil it looks like in 30 miles... If anyone has any suggestions on what it could be i would appreciate it. my next step is to get the oil pump swapped out, it is the original b20 pump.

Default Re: B20/vtec oil leak (zeiram13x)

Whoever told u that the leak is normal doesnt know what hes talking about, i suggest u not listen to people like that. On all of my motor builds i pay extra close attention to both of the cam seals, putting a little hondabond on both seals all the way around, and where the cam cap meets the head i always apply a little bit of silicon right there, and also the cam caps on the distributor side and cam cap side. This always takes care of all the leaks coming from the top. I dont think anything is wrong with the oil pump if it has never been removed. If its been removed before then maybe someone didnt seal it up good enough. But if its the oem one i doubt that its leaking from there.
