97 Prelude, Can I Use Smaller Civic Radiator?
I have a 97 Prelude 5 speed H22 and I have a small crack in the top plastic part of my radiator which is leaking and will probably need to be replaced. My friend has a civic radiator which will bolt right in, but is about half the size of my current stock radiator. Does anyone know of a civic radiator being used in a newer model prelude, and if I were to use it, would I have to worry about it not working as efficiently or overheating or anything?
Thanks.
Thanks.
im using a mishimoto rad for an eg civic with a slim fan, this setup works fine no issues with it overheating at all.

Precisely. Not all turbo set-ups require it, but the bigger ones do, also depends on what style manifold you have and how big the turbo is.

Yeah, just wondering if a civic radiator will work without overheating issues or anything, because if it will work just fine, I have one on hand that I could use and wont have to end up buying a $150 Prelude radiator right now.
Sorta funny, everyone says to make sure you use a dual core or such if you go civic rad, yet I have been running a stock del sol rad for 2 years on my car with no issues. I have never overheated, my fans hardly turn on, and I have only heard the fan kick on after the car shut off once or twice, and these were 100+ degree days. I have driven the car 1000+ miles with only gas stops, and it has always been fine!
