Anyone had/have problems with cracks developing on the front frame (side rail chassis)? After 8 years of Soloraces and other lapping events, my frame has started to crack! I have plated it but the cracks came back at the welds! Another area affected is at the tranny engine mount.

I was thinking of replating it but with rivets this time. Any suggestions? Would the 4 point roll bar contributed to this, more front stress? I got the fender braces, I hope this can help in some ways.

i cant help you with your origional question, but it gives me some second thoughts about turning my crx into a racecar

 

I even removed my Poly. engine mount inserts a few years back to avoid any strain on the chassis. Our local race track is bumpy and our city streets are not exactly very flat (Montreal)
