Default Question about procedures involved in Civic Si strut bump stop replacement (the issue described in o

Hi,

I got my 2008 Civic Si Sedan front strut bump stops replaced under TSB and warranty in the dealership a couple weeks ago and yesterday I suddenly noticed that the passenger side door doesn't quite line up right to the fender (0.5-1 cm difference that I can feel it with my finger) (the passenger door is more indented than the passenger side fender) and I checked the driver side and it is fine. It doesn't have any dent or damage to the door and fender but they just don't line up right. I wonder when the replace the bump stops of the front struts, do they have to remove the fenders to get to it? If so, I will give the dealership a ring about that.

Thanks

i thought you posted milimeters but regardless of mm or cm. 0.5 or 1 mm/cm is not noticeable. get your measurements down. you saying honda's build quality is off is ridiculous.

10mm = 1cm so it is 10 times more or less if you take it the other way around. I noticed it when I just looked at it 1 or 2 foot away or looking to the direction of where the fender or door meet when i am leaning on the door. Then I can feel it by touching both the driver and passenger side and compare. Honda's build quilty is going down for sure. At least my 15 years old EG civic doesn't have this problem, in addition, no 3rd gear, sun visors, strut bump stop problems
