Default spoon cluster

Should a JDM 96 spec ITR cluster work on a JDM 98spec? Reason I ask is the spoon cluster I have just recieved, when plugged in the fuel guage does not work and the seat belt light stayes on. And also there is no where to plug the yellow plug for the abs light. Is there any way arround this or am I encounting large quantities of fail?

Cheers andy.

you can start by putting the green film from your old cluster onto the new one.

I prefer the swapping of the gauges more. This way he can retain the SRS and ABS lights.
