B series mount question
2 part question:
1. Hasport EFB2 mounts. Those mounts, aside from the hydro conversion, are they the same mounts as for a cable trans?
2. Alright, before anyone asks, I tried searching, but nothing came up, even remotely close to what I'm about to ask. I've been asking around about b series mounts for an EF. Aside from the cable to hydro conversion part of most kits (if you plan on using a hydro trans), the kits for cable and hydro are almost identical, except for the different bolt patters on the pass side mount.
I'm on a bit of a budget, and I don't see the need to spend 500 dollars on Hasport EFB2 mounts or something comparable, if I don't need to. I've been looking around and reading alot, but I haven't seen or heard of anyone doing this.
My question is this.
I've been thinking, and I know 92+ is all hydraulic. How difficult or possible would it be to switch out the pedal assy. from a newer civic thats hydro, and put it in my crx? I mean, i'm sure i'd have to drill a hole in the fire wall for the rod for the master cylinder and all, and find a place to mount the master cylinder on the wall somewhere, but it'd be basically the same thing as what comes in those kits, for a fraction of the price. right? If you need more clarification as to what I mean, just ask. If you have any info, let me know asap. Thanks.

Passenger side mount is different. Hydro tranny has different mounting hole pattern. There is no front mount.

Swapping over a hydro system involves alot more work than you think (welding and metal fabrication come to mind) so by the time you're done, it will cost more than buying a kit that's already made.
Do you just want to be able to use a hydro tranny or do you really want to have a hydro pedal assembly with your swap? They are two different things.
I bought the Innovative mount kit for GSR into CRX with hydro tranny ($400 new), it comes with a simple apparatus that allows your current cable pedal assembly to work with the hydro tranny. Hasport has a similar kit.
For $400, you get the motor mounts plus the cable/hydro actuator, that's pretty reasonable, I think, considering the time and money I would spend trying to fabricate something from scratch.

are you talking about this:

cuz, i saw that but I don't see how it would open up the trans? like.. where is the reserve for fluid? how does it actuate the thingy (for lack of a better term) inside the trans to engage and disengage?

There is no reservoir for fluid because your illiminating the need for that all together. the parts are mounted outside on the edge of the transmission approximately where the hydraulic crap would have been. it allows you to use your stock cable to actuate the lever system which inturn pulls the clutch fork.
