Hey i own an 02 ep3 Si...and for some reason (not all the time, but too much not to notice) my engine, either when i start the car or im slowing down from goin fast, will idle back down to 2g's vice the common 1g and stick for under a minute then go back down!!! please help im not an expert at this....

 

check all your vac hoses to make sure theres nothing disconnected or leaking air.

 

It's hard to completely understand your problem. Sounds like your car idles 2k when you cold start it and "higher than normal" while braking. Both situations are completely normal.

 

Hey I have the exact same problem...when I start my car it idles at 2000 rpm...and sometimes when its idling it jumps from 1-2000 rpms...anyone help?

 

iac valve needs clean?

 

well when i abot to turn the engine off its still idling at 2k and then i cut the ignition and the engine drops from 2k to 0 and it just dosnt sound healthy

 

i would check the iac, are you throwing any check engine codes?
