To all you Hondaheads out there this question may sound dumb, but I am new to Honda and AM dumb on them. Are the B18 and B20 connecting rods the same length, and do they have the same journal sizes (reason I am asking is my friend with the B20 91 Rex just hydrolocked his motor, making pretzels out of connecting rods, and we have a spare B18 rotating assy laying around. Wondering if we could use the rods in the B20)?

 

I think, Rod length are the same for B20 and LS 137.00mm

 

They are the same rod.

 

Thanks for the info........I would have thought they were different lengths as the stroke is more on the B20 (are the piston pins further up in the piston or the deck height taller on the B20 then?).

 

The stroke is the same on the B20 and the B18(LS) = 89mm.

The B20 piston has a 1.165" c/h and the B18B has a 1.180" c/h.
