fuel pump noise
Does the fuel pump make strange noises when it starts to die
and what do they sound like?
my car makes a strange noise like an idler pulley for ac going bad it does not do it when engine is cold only after engine is at full temperature. the noise seems to be coming from rear of cab but it might originate in the engine compartment.

when your fuel pump goes out they just go out I.E. doesn't do anything at all
what i would do if you don't have power steering pull the belt off take it for a ride if it is still making noise
what you could be hearing is the alternator bearing starting to go out
it it a grind or a whine

Mine makes the same noise. I hear it through the filler neck which is like right behind you in a crx. Almost sounds like metal on metal rubbing. Took me a while to figure out what the hell it was.
when a fuel pimp is working right you can here it ,it's like a hum ,if theres something wrong with it will grind (i retract my previous statement)
