INPUT NEEDED - Need some help with noise after swap
I have been fighting to find a noise in my crx after swapping in a jdm d15 for the last 5 weeks. I have a pretty constant rotational rattle/knocking that can be felt through the floorboard, I have changed the trans 6 times, axles times, and steering rack twice. This has been constant since day one after the swap if you take it out of gear while driving it goes away somewhat I can see nothing that seems to be hitting or touching possibly anywhere and is really noticeable when hitting the brakes almost to the point where I would say that something is being stressed and is not lined up right causing the noise and when in gear is just making it worse. I have chk'd the headers and the exhaust. I am at a total loss and am running out of options on what to try next so any ideas would be helpful. I also swapped in new mounts when doing the swap. I have not had a alignment done yet also but I can also say that the alignment does not seem to be off as I think I did a pretty good job on getting the tie rods at pretty much the same point as before and it drives nice and straight.
did you align your pressure plate well... maybe try another pressure plate. maybe your starter sticks in the flywheel??
