Default piston to wall clearance

I took the block and pistons in today and they micd the block. Was told that it is .003 I looked in manual and mentioned service limits .002 on a stock setup. But did not mention more then that. Is this out of limits? The builder said that they like to see .002 but standard rings should work fine. Just out of curiosity is a little loose ok ?

.003 > .002 = outside service limit

what do the rings have to do with piston to wall?

if the gap is too large, then you need a bigger piston.

cast, just wanting to know what others are running for clearance.

many factors, but thats a lil too much for cast and a mild all motor build im assuming.
ill run just fine if you put it together, just a little noisy and rings wont last as long

Thats ok, If it runs good for awhile then thats good enough for me. It is not a racer so maybe I can baby it for more miles.
