Has anyone with a 07-08 civic si sedan ever thought of buying the mugen exhaust system that is on the 07 mugen civic si and installing it on their non-mugen si? If so, is this even worth thinking about doing, because I had the notion of doing it.
I'm in the market for an exhaust that isn't too loud and gets some performance. Is it true that the mugen si exhaust gets approx. 2-3 hp?
Anyway, thanks for any feedback left.

yes. it has obviously been thought about. though the mugen si exhaust isnt readily available. you could probably get your hands on one fairly easy. *cough cough*
the mugen si isnt rated any higher than a standard model but im sure a dyno would show an improvement in side by side standings. id love to see it done.

i saw threads about this on 8thcivic, the cheapest anybody could get them was a little over $1100. its supposed to give you a 5 hp gain, definitely NOT worth it imo.

kant really tell the difference but sound from the mugen exhaust has a lower tone
cost me a grip but well worth it because not many people will have it

Thanks for the information, i.e. price, sound, looks. Yeah, I really can't make my mind up, $1100 is a bit much.
