the "im a Captian and im going down with this Integra" rebuild thread
Well, it all started about two years ago now, I was 16 with $4000 in my hand and no idea how to spend it. At the time I was driving a chevy c1500 just cause it was a cheap wip. I wanted a car. I had always wanted a bodykitted integra with neons, altezzas and a painted interior. Be honest after F&F everyone did
. Thankfully I had out grown that by junior year in highschool. I went on craigslist and honestly bough the first integra I saw, liked, drove, and could afford. $3200 got me a 2 owner 1995 Integra LS 5spd, black interior, clean title, 17” rims, SRD knock offs, Apexi N1, dropzone suspension, sparco clubman 4 harness, itr spoiler, itr lip, and an electron blue Macco repaint. As wel as its host of problems, terrible body work, painted dash parts, wiring nightmares, and other unforeseeable problems. Needless to say, I did the best with what I had.

About 4 months later I finally knew a thing or two about the current Honda scene I did even know existed when I bought it: JDM. Well at least what America considers JDM I call it clean, sytled if you will. I painted the wheels, got a VIS hood for $100 and some jdm sidemarkers.


About 4 days after those pictures, the cars life took a U turn, for the devil, not Christ. I went to walmart after school, then autozone, then Hess, then home to wash and wax it. After I got out and walked around to the passenger side, I literally dropped everything I was carrying and was in disbelief. From the door jamb to the taillight looked like an NFL linebacker crushed the entire panel. Long story short the insurance company was going to total the car and give me way less than I had in it. I said F off.
I took a plunger and kicked it out from inside and got the panel close. And with the help of up to ½” of bondo in some areas got it close. The primed the whole side. After about a week of staring at doctor jeckle and mr. hide, I convinced myself I would get it painted soon after and primed the whole car.


At that time I had acquired some oem black leather cheap and through those in. a few weeks later I sold the wheels I had on it and the leather for about a $1000 total. I rocked the steelies and cloth seats for a week until these came in.
Enkei rpm2’s with mint goodyear eagle f1’s paid $460 shipped from a guy on ebay. The set cost over $2200 new. I sold them for $700.



Bought these and some NRG fecaros with the money from the RPM2’s stayed with enkei and got some gf1’s and falken ziex 912’s for less than $600 shipped. Painted them flat black in my dorm room and got so high.
At that time there was a lot of talk of the $50 paint job. And having not got a legit paint job said meh, wtf not. Needless to say it was a major fail and my car remained half primer, half rustoleum for all of the winter. When I got home for winter break, I finished painting it white and it looked good with the wheels. But I still wasn’t happy.




Everyone has been getting 98 conversions and while I admit I own 98 taillights, mainly for the simplicity, I vowed not to get a 98 front end as long as my title says 1995. But, I did finally find the CF lip ive been looking for . the girl I bought it off of paif $375 for it and used it for 2 weeks., she didn’t like how low it was, and sold it to me for $125 with not one scratch on it. Haha I WIN.
And now for the project. Ive decide to finally just do everything right this time. The car will have every layer of paint. Yes, there are 5 layers of color plus primer. Removed and go to paint with ONE layer of just primer and what limited filler it will need. Ive sorced a Legitimate JDM B18b swap locally for $650 its an Hmotorsonline and it is absolutely prefect. I just hope to have the motor in my possession next weekend, and then save up for paint.

hha thanks man, yea the old lip ws just on there cause it came with the car, i wanted the VIS ever since i saw it but could never afford it, then, like most of my parts scroed it o n craigslist, as for the 1/4 its the best stress releaf
well, after alot of this

from my car, the alarm wasnt working, so why not right? one less thing in the engine bay.
its burning oil badd now, but aparently not bad enough to keep me from getting a $150 80mph+ ticket tonight. i was going 74 motherfcuker said 80 was a gift. QUOTA!!!!!\
he also said my exhaust was to big, or and yea my lisence plate frame was illegal hahaha
