Default Rear disk conversion- need some advice

I was wondering what is needed to swap disk brakes from a 93 Si onto my 94 eg hatch that currently has drum brakes.
I have been doing some research and looking for threads on this topic.
Do i need a new prop valve, m/c, or anything else?
The guy im buying the brakes from said it was the "complete rear end disk" so im pretty sure its from the splash guard out
and also are there any tips to help me do this conversion?

thanks

If your rear discs are off a '93 just swap the both trailing arms as a unit, your also gonna need the flex hoses and parking brake cables from the Si. In your case you wont need the proportioning valve or the master cylinder as they are the same as what you already have. if you upgrade to larger front brakes you will need the master cylinder and proporting valve though. As for tips, expect to break bolts off, ask whoever your buying the swap from for all the bolts he took out and didn't break and when your putting everything together put lots of neverseize on bolts going through suspension bushings, it'll make your life a lot easier if you ever have to take anything apart again.

You can NOT re-use your ebrake cable. You need to get an ebrake cable from a car with rear discs.

X3, ideally you'll want the parking brake cables of an Si hatch, but any '90 - '00 civic or integra parking brake cables from a car with rear discs will work.

Frankly, its a bitch. You have to remove your center console, and pull up your carpet to get to the e-brake connections. You also have to remove your gas tank guard to get to the cable mounts on the chassis under the car.

No, unless you don't have all the parts, and/or rusted or stripped bolts. other than that all you need is elbow grease and you'll be set.

Make sure you get an alignment immediately afterwards, before your rear tires get trashed.

I personally don't think it matters, but if you want to be proper use the 4040 prop valve.

From what i got out it the reason most cars with rear discs was because they also came with front brakes. I have a friend with a '92 civic Si hatch, came from the factory with rear discs, no ABS, hers came from the factory with a 13/16 master cylinder and 3035? i belive proportioning valve, not sure on those numbers as i really couldn't get my head in far enough to look, but i did go to honda and cross reference that car ('92 Si) with my car ('94 LX sedan that came stock with rear drums) and they are the same. So, to sum up, if you have also upgraded your front brakes use the 4040 prop valve and master cylinder, if you have only added rear discs use the original prop valve and 15/16 master cylinder. I never changed my master cylinder or prop valve and i haven't had any trouble at all, and i drive in snow for like 5 months a year, on top of that my front brakes are pretty much worn out so the rears almost should be locking up, front rotors are original honda from '94 and very, very worn out. i think its time for a nice set of brembo blanks.

yes the valves are different. the 4040 valve you need and is a direct bolt on are found on 92-93 integras and 94 non abs integra.

you have a better chance of finding one out of a 92-93 integra at a yard, maybe even ebay.

philosofy1 so your saying i should upgrade the prop valve and 94EG8 is saying i dont need to.
i read that the 4040 gives less fluid to the back because the rear disks dont need as much as drums.
so which is it? haha
