got code 17 which is vehicle speed sensor but this is weird because my speedometer is working. any ideas anyone? thanks

 

most of the time the vss goes bad before the engine light comes on, to my knowledge the engine light should come on first before the vss start to go bad and make the speedometer act crazy. Anyways if you have a helm's check your vss with a ohmmeter if it's bad i have a good one for sale.
