Default What causes this kind of tire wear...

I went to go riding tonight, and as I was looking over my bike I noticed the wrinkled strip on the tire, it was on both sides of the dirt in the middle. What causes that? is it normal?

flame suit ON for the n00bish question

It's you not using that part of the tire, and that is where it's been warm, and where it hasn't.
