so my dash lights dont want to work. well they work when they want to like its not bright as it used to like it dims away. and some times well most of the time they dont work period..\ i though it was a fuse but if they are still turning on it cant be that...can it be my alternator going bad or something?? well any help would be nice...

I think you'd have other symptoms of a failing alternator if it was truly that. Have you checked the dimmer switch? Maybe that little sucker is failing you or getting stuck on one setting somehow.

I would double-check that little guy first, after that, make sure your connections are 100% in place...could be a loose connection as well resulting in inconsistent/sporadic connection.
