This is my first ITR. Took me over a year to find a stock example. It has 55K miles on it (90K Kms). The 08 GTI will remain the daily driver, while this will be a weekend car.

Thanks guys.
I am going to try my best to leave the car stock. I have had many modded cars in the past. Kind of sick of modding stuff. The R is by far the loudest stock car I have had haha. To me it's perfect the way it is now so no mods any time soon I don't think.

Stock is just fine because you can really work on your driving and have no excuses for not getting faster.

isn't the gray line also found on JDM, UK, & Australian models? such a small detail but curious to clarify.

There are two versions of the sticker emblems. One version is designed for black cars; the other version is designed for white and yellow cars. I suspect your stickers are the one designed for black cars, whereas the one with the black outline is for the white and yellow cars.
(runs out to the garage to check the original stickers on his own PY ITR...)
As they originally came from the factory on the yellow car, the outline of the letters and stuff on the sticker is indeed black. So, for example, the word TYPE is gray with a black outline, the R is red with a black outline, etc. I would conclude that yours are not the original stickers, and whoever bought them erroneously got the part number for the black cars.
