LS swap not starting???
i know i'm going to get some ***** that'll tell me to do a search, did that, found nothing. anyway, i just completed an LS swap into a 92 vx, everything is hooked up and plugged in. won't start. any clues to get me going? i turn the key and i hear a hum, but that could be the fan. possible answers are highly appreciated.
could be a number of things, check all your grounds including the one on the thermostat housing, get a multimeter and check your ignitor, coil and main relay, you could try jump starting it to see if your battery is dead, check your timing,do a compression test, check for blown fuses...
now that i think about it, the thermo ground is probably it, i know the battery works, the timing should be good because it was running when pulled, fuses are good, and the compression is good. i'll update tomorrow, so i don't look like a tweeker wrenching at 1 am.
the humming is your fuel pump, thats normal. i bet its something small. all the swaps i've done have been with vtec motors and ex wiring harnesses.
does the starter turn over at all?
does the starter turn over at all?
ok, from whaty i've found the firing order on the dizzy is 1342 starting from the bottom left clockwise. it turns over and spark and there's fuel, but it bogs out immediately. could it be because i don't have the downpipe installed(the one i have is cut right where the flange to the cat goes, getting another one wednesday or so)?
