Default building my custom intake

so i have an '88 honda crx
everything is stock as it sits
and im going to start putting in performance parts
i plan on building my own intake
i want it to be short for more HP in the lower RPMs


anything anyone can tip me on as far as the process goes?

im new at this still

Find a cheap ebay intake, same gains half the price or even more.

Retain the factory air box for better throttle response. Buy a cheapo eBay intake and cut it in half and build yourself a ram-air style setup, like I did:




I purposely used a rubber intake by the air box so I can disconnect it if it rains and I'm out and about.
