d15b vtec or zc???

Default d15b vtec or zc???

i have a 89 ef std/dx modle converted to mpfi and i have a si tranny grinds 2 and 3 wen shifting quick so i got a ex trany out of a junk yard hoplfully no grinds on that 1 any way my stock d15b1 is bout dead i did a compression test and it wasent prty i cant get it past 3000 rpm very well at no im not in limp mode. well im tring to decide wat would be better and cheaper to put in ? im thinkin the d15b cause of vtec and its obo1 but would the zc be cheaper? and wats beter performace zc or d15??

depends if you get the dohc or sohc zc?Vtec is nice but will cost more forsure.Keep in mind you will have to change everything to obd1:dizzy,ecu wiring harness etc.I would get the zc cheaper and a lot faster than the d15b1.Hope this helps
