The D15 JDM head is a better swap, and you will need the EX/SI tranny to make it worthwhile.

Which ZC? There are 3 popular ones.

DOHC ZC
SOHC non-VTEC ZC - 118hp
SOHC VTEC ZC - 128hp (this figure varies from site to site)

The only one that might not be quicker than a D15 VTEC would be the SOHC nonVTEC ZC, but even that will probably outpull a 1.5L VTEC.

I would probably go with a dohc zc. They are a strong motor and have great power curves when matched with a si tranny.

BTW:

I like the SOHC ZC better than the DOHC ZC.

DOHC ZCs are harder to find parts for, and for some reason they just don't impress me much at all.

Get the SOHC VTEC ZC!

SOHC VTEC ZC = D16Z6 in terms of parts.

Yes if you're talking about Steve sending you a SOHC VTEC Zc to replace that bunk D15B VTEC, you got a killer hook-up IMO.

1.6>1.5
