Default Back Into the hondas. My 1995 Civic Lx build

Hi, I have been toolling around here for awhile now and figured that I would throw some pics of my new civic I picked up about 2 months ago. When I bought the car, I was planning on swapping the stock d15b7 out at a later date for the z6 motor down the road since the orignal motor just wasn't going to cut it for me. However, when I got it up to my house, I noticed the next morning that the motor had majically started burning almost 1 1/2 qrts of oil a week and was getting worse. So, I drove around like that for about a week and retired the car into the garage for the unexpected swap I had planned. After about a week I found the suitable candidate for the swap in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The motor came with around 90k on it, a skunk2 cam and Arospeed Cam gear. I pick that up for only 275. The next week after that, the old motor was pulled from the car and I went through all the gaskets and replaced them for some preventative maintiance. Oh, I forgot to note that the car came from the factory automatic but the previous owner swapped a manuel trans. into the car, However it was done poorly. He threw some spacers in between the mount and the trans but they aren't the right length!! But anyways, while I had the motor out, I replaced the clutch and upgraded the flywheel to a aluminum fidanza flywheel. I also removed the ac system, added poly motor mounts, new alternator, clutch slave/mater cylinders, spark plugs, new wires, and this weekend I made a killer find at the junkyard. I managed to find an almost brand new AEM cold air intake and the I picked up for $20.

Also, currently, its running on ebay "coilovers", on stock shocks. So as you can imagine, it not the best ride quailty. It also come with some really nasty rims on it that were just way too big for the car. So as you can see fo the pics, I changed those out.

I still have a lot of things left to come!

Things i did thus far...

- d16z6 swap - still need a p28 and to wire the vtec
- fidanza flywheel
- new clutch
- alternator
- spark plugs
- plug wires
- bmw e30 bottlecap wheels
- AEM cold-air Intake

In the future...

- new a/t to m/t poly trans mount
- brembo rotors and pads
- Skunk 2 full coilovers
- Skunk 2 front camber kit
- Skunk 2 f/r strut bars
- Skunk lower rear control arms
- Suspension techniques Sways
- other random things!

Junk yard Score!!

I tooks them off my winter beater (89 bmw 325i) for the time being. I kinda like the way it looks with them so i might keep them on the car.
