if i have a bad third gear syncro, around how much will ity cost to be fixed
i believe i have a bad third gear syncro, if i bring my 03 civic si to honda what do you think the bill would be< the car i sno longer under warrenty and has 41929 miles on it thanks

Since there is a TSB, maybe they'll cut you a deal on it, maybe not. Who knows. Take it in and find out.

Yep, forgot that doesn't apply to the 5-speed.
With that low amount of miles though, I'd still inquire at the dealer.

It's going to cost a thousand kagillion dollar.
They may provide "good will" service and split the bill with you, but you have to fake a temper-tantrum and run around kicking and screaming before they offer this.

haha lol... ya I called Honda about this and I told them that I wasn't the only one with this problem. They told me that for the 5spd they couldn't do nothing... as for what the tech recommended, he just told me to do more freaken tranny fluid changes... so now every oil changes comes and tranny one too it solved my problem for now!
Btw when I said I called Honda, I meant Honda Canada not the dealer!

its probably gonna be your best bet to just get another transmission. syncros cost just about as much as a whole new tranny. you will probably be able to find a good tranny for about 600 bucks. syncros are gonna run you about 250 plus labor. the labor is what kills you.
