My car won't start at all, there's still power from the battery, and the starter still spins, but the motor won't run, what would be the problem? Please help thanks

always remember, a car need only two things to start. fuel and spark. check if you have those, if you do, repost and well see what we can do...

And If You Are Not Getting Fuel, Then Check Your Main Relay.

definitely a relay. turn the key to the second click. if you dont hear the fuel pump prime its the main relay, located above your hood release, little grey box. .

you could always pull off the return from the fuel rail to see if fuel is going through

check these things to start a car. Fuel (Fuel and Fuel pressure), Spark (Spark Plugs), Main Relay, Compression, timging(Ignition & Timing Belt),and Power(Battery). Thats all I can really think of

I can hear the prime when I turn the key, I think it has to do with spark, I'm going to check right now, get back to you guys later today, thanks for all the help

It is the distributor, I need a new one, can't afford one so I think i'll rebuild this one, can I use parts from any d-series distributor?

yea d series internals will work. Just replace the coil and ignitor inside the distributor and make sure you put the key in the cam the right way and not 180 degrees out.

something as simple as a thermostat ground or tranny ground will cause it not to start as joon mentioned

If it started before and you didn't touch it it won't be a ground, or his firing order, it could be your distributor, and it could also be an ECU fuse, check that

For a engine to start you actually need fuel, spark, compression, and AIR. I know its not a common problem, but you should varify your engine can actually breathe, just cause ya never know.
