ok sorry if this is a repost. but just a quick question, lets say i had a d16y7 non vtec ina ek hatch. now should i boost it or get the single cam vtec and boost that? or does it even matter

 

The D16Y7s and Y8s aren't the best motors to boost. They have fairly weak internals, and I know for sure that at least the Y8s have oil problems. You have to port/polish the oil pump to reduce the risk of spinning a bearing. A lot of people boost the D16Z6s, but all the info you need is available on turbod16.com
