ok, so the d16 turbo build went ka put...........I drove it for about two days and then the rod starts to knock like crazy.But...... I found a 95 integra ls motor for 200 bucks, so I think I'm going to try to put that in the ef. I don't know how difficult it is going to be, being that I haven't ever put a b series in a ef. Could someone make me a list of parts that I will need to get this thing running? Mounts, wiring, ecu, axles, etc.??? How long will it take, if I work on it for a straight week with all the parts ready? Thanks, David
if you have all the parts it can be done it a day. its pretty easy your gona need the motor, trans, swap mounts and linkage. the axles, radiator hoses, throttle cable from a da integra. pr4 ecu keep it all obd0 for the easyness. probably some other small crap too like dent the frame rail to clear the alternator. use your stock engine harness.

yea, I've been gathering little bits and peices from other threads, but all the other guys have 89 civic si's, so its a bit easier. My car is a 89 civic two door, not si, lx I guess. nothing special. All I have is the short block, so I just need to know what would be the cheapest, easiest , and quickest route? I just need to know, so I can buy all the parts I need before putting the motor in. I'm really confused about the whole wiring deal. So I can keep all of my stock obd0 wiring, I just need to solder some stuff? No big deal as long and I know what I'm soldering where. Thanks, David
Sounds like you will need to do a dpfi to mpfi swap.
things just got a wee bit more complicated on the wiring side of things. An ls motor into an 89 si is a cakewalk, and is easily performed by a backyard mechanic with good common sense. being that yours is an LX, you've gotto first wire it up to accept an intake manifold with 4 fuel injectors.
you need to make sure you do a good job wiring the mpfi, as you really ahve no way to test it. and id hate to not have a good starting point to troubleshoot a no start and be able to rule out the mpfi wiring.
Search and find a few good sources of info (not even just H-T) then if you've narrowed down to some more specific questions feel free to Instant message me and i'll try my best to help. I just dont like answering such broad questions. I dont want to make you a how-to, im a busy guy. but ill hapily clarify something you read on some other how-to

alright, I got the b18b1 this morning, and I want to get this thing done as quick as possible. What is the first thing I should do? wiring? This motor is from a 95 ls, so that is obd1 right? He said he would sell me the ecu for 50 dollars, so what engine harness would I use, just to start with?
you had a turbo d16 in there before right? if so im guessing the car is allready mpfi. you use only your stock engine harness no other harness from a different model will work. if its allready wired for mpfi it will just plug right into the ls motor. for easyness and cheapness your gona wana run the motor obd0.
