My mechanic called me this morining and he wants me to go down there to show me something here is the prob I am doing a full ITR swap brand new and I dont have the oil cooler my ? is is it a must for a ITR motor or can I do with out it does it help that much I need to know whether to let him know to get one for it or not help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am refering to the stock oil cooler that comes with your guys' cars do i need it or can I just plug the holes and drive I just need to know if it is manditory thats all

the stock one is fairly simple. it's a unit on the back of the block.
I made a huge reply in a previous thread where I listed pretty much every after market unit out there. B&M makes a cheap one that would work fine (as well as stock) for about $100. Or you can go with a Jackson Racing one or Greddy (or other) for $250-$500.
