I was looking for some opinions on the best street tire, i am simply looking for the best dry traction, miles and price do not matter, thanx

In order:

1. Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec in 195/55-15 (like Shawn and Todd said ^^^ ). The stickiest street tire you can get for the stock rims.

2. Falken Azenis RT-615 in 205/50-15.

For right now, those are easily the two stickiest street tires you can get in our 15" sizes. Most other supersticky "extreme performance" tires aren't available in either size, and the only other one that is, the Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212, is a significant step down from the Azenis for dry grip.

Two more tires in this segment are coming on the market soon. The Toyo R1R is already out, but not in our sizes; both 195/55-15 and 205/50-15 are shown as "coming soon" on the Toyo R1R specs. And the Kumho Ecsta XS will be out in August, no word yet on size availability.

 

I just put a set of Dunlops on my stock rims. Excellent tire, low road noise very impressed so far.
