Need help plz....axel/hub noise driving me crazy
ok i have replaced my hub bearing, my halfshaft bearing and my axel and im still hearing a noise coming from my driver side axel...it sounds like a grinding noise and it only happens when the car is under load and it gets worse the faster i go. could it be my hub? this has never happened before ..usually i just replace an axel or a bearing and its fine...me and my friend are stumped and its driving me crazy...any suggestions are welcome...thanks
well i dont think its that because doesn't the dust cover just sound like a scraping noise? ive had the happen too but this sounds like something is loose or something is grinding hard.
i dont know but do you think it could be your brake pads grinding against your rotor, thats what mine dose, i already bought the brakes i just need new rotors. try just jacking the car up and turning the tire
ok its not the pads or rotors...all pads and rotors around are new out of the box....pads and rotors have literaly 3 or less miles on them...the wheel is mounted securely and its not lopsided...all tires are brand new 3 or less miles on them. suspension is brand new koni/gc less than 3 miles on it......innovative traction bar brand new.....skunk2 uca's brand new......i am stumped

i found out what it was...the bearing was not properly installed into the hub and the retaining clip wasnt on...the tire is brand new and the axel was custom made. The shop has since replaced with a new bearing and clip....all is well again
