STIFF STEERING
HI,
I just had a repair to replace the driver side cv joint/axle, that worked out fine but when I drove off I noticed the steering was much, much harder to turn as if both front tires lost 10 pounds of pressure each. I brought it back for them to check it out and one of the techs said he had noticed it was stiff but thought maybe it was always like that, until I mentioned it.
It was fine before but now it's harder to turn, the fluid was ok, they didn't see any reason for it so for the time being we just left it like that.
IF I get any ideas they will of course pursue them.
I can't see any connection to replacing the axle but there is a connection to it somehow because it's different, but not sure what, something changed.
My car is a 91 Accord EX.
thanks for helping,
Jeff

Its a long shot but perhaps you need a new steering rack?
