tilton twin engagement changing when car is warm/hot? and pedal stiffens...
Tilton twin clutch with 6lb flywheel
stock MC
stock slave
stock TO bearing
Tilton flow valve with braided line from firewall junction
Basically when I go to start or drive my car when its still cold, clutch engagement is low and pedal pressure is nice and smooth. it feels perfect. but after driving awhile, even if just driving normally, eventually the clutch gets to be pretty stiff, and engagement is a lot higher. I havent had any problems getting into or out of gears, it just seems to vary and be inconsistent which obviously makes for difficult launches and harder to avoid shocking the drive train because I dont know where its going to engage.
I thought maybe the fluid was getting hot, or maybe I had too much in the reservoir, so I took some out but that didnt seem to make a difference. the reservoir seems to be damp around the edges but not sure if thats just from spillage when I was bleeding the system.
Apparently Tilton recommends a 3/4" MC (when using their hydro bearing) and Im not sure what my stock one is. Anyone think I might just have a problem with the MC or slave? maybe the valves are sticking or something? It doesnt seem to make any odd noises or anything.

well I adjusted the pedal stop when first installing the clutch. seems to be set perfectly for when the car is still cold. i set it to about .25" travel after clutch disengages. when backing out of the garage it seems perfect. but after driving awhile, I dont have to push the clutch very far before it disengages and pedal pressure seems much stiffer.
