Morning clutch sickness
Ok, my 92 civic has this thing it has started to do every morning or when the car get totaly cold. We are just starting to get frosty mornings here in Canada. I have replaced the trans oil with what the manual called for this summer, when the clutch was replace. The flywheel was machined and a new pressure plate and throwout bearing were also installed.
When I depress the clutch pedal, everything feels normal, but I can't ingage any gears. I have to wait like 10-20seconds before I can get it into gear. I'm thinking it's the slave cylinder but not sure. I know honda's slaves are external, and super easy to replace (considering I've done 5 tranny pulls for internal ford slaves last year; f250 and explorer). But when slaves usually go the pedall just doesn't return. ????? WTF???? could this be a master cyl? air in the line?? what to check??? I'll try changing the fluid. Dot 3 is it? I'll go trough a few cycles untill the fluid is clean and see if that helps.
Anyone have this before? I drove the car last winter not a single problem.
Thanks
Trevor
