Turbo Question?
Also how can the greddy kit work without the BOV and intercooler isnt that really bad on the turbo and the engine? Whats detonation?
Rob
cool thx man u cleared some stuff up for me. Can the greddy kit take a bov and is it easy to take on and off for the visual inspection for emissions or will the entire turbo setup need to be taken off for the visual?
not quite dude....the Greddy kits use a tubo with an actuator buit in...the actuator acts as both a wastegate and BOV...as for no IC...you can get away with no using an IC for low boost, but not recommended...esp. for hondas

Ok well as u can tell i really dont know anything about forced induction and i thank u guys for your replies. I was told yesterday by my friend that i should get a supercharger (JRSC) what are the differences between that and the greddy turbo?
the bottom line is that basically, if you go turbo and want it to be fast, you are going to have to sacrifice. you probably wont pass emissions w/ an external wastegate and a bov, because they let off extra exhaust gasses that have not been filtered through the catalytic converter. but you can always pay someone off. thats what i do.
the greddy kit however utilizes an internal wastegate and no bov, so that is basically why it is street legal. however, that puts an extra load on your turbo.

stay on top of your oil changes, and if your not the kinda guy whos under the hood at least everyweekend, i wouldnt recomend it. As far as i can tell you its not just one of those things you do and forgetabout. Just stay on top of how its runing lean or rich and stay ontp of the oil.

Sure, Greddy kit should be easy breezy. Bolt it on, make a fun amount of power, pass visual and smog checks if you're using it on the vehicle it was made for....no extra maintenence involved that I can see. Bolt it on and change your oil every 3000.
