Default R/TErnie = alive

So I haven't posted in a while and I figured I'd give some clarification to my "non-customers" as my customers are all well informed of my current situation.

I finished my post bacc. degree at WWU mid June and finished Testing and Development of our FSAE car. http://www.wwufsae.com I was highly involved in the engine development program and was the crew chief for track testing the past two months prior to competition. I went to california Speedway in Ontario California June 25th-30th where we finished 6th overall and received 3rd place in Design. Between these two responsibilites I had little time to fabricate parts or spend time with my family or girlfriend. I informed my TWO waiting customers that I would not be able to finish their manifolds until after competition and asked that they please be patient with me during this time. Tyson King evidently has a hard time with this, however Andy Reyes seems to understand the situation and is waiting patiently. Both manifolds are waiting for final welding and are 5-8 work hours from completition. I'm currently away for lunch at my new job that I started the day after I returned from competition. I'm also catching up on the sleep that I did not receive the two months prior to competition. My shop is getting cleaned and prepped to continue fabrication thanks to my current shop helper.

I realize that I've overcommitted myself, however communication has NOT been lacking and I keep my customers well informed reguardless of whether they listen to what I tell them or not. I have informed Tyson previously and currently that there is NO eta for his manifold for I do not want to over-commit and under-deliver.

I am working as fast as possible to get my two remaining customers their respective parts. I will post up progress reports in this thread as well as finished pictures of the products.

Thank you for being patient and understanding during this period of increasing responsibility and decrease of available time.

Damn dude, I wish I would have known you were in town! One of my good friends is a student in SD and has been working on one as well. We didn't make it out because the motor failed two days before thurs... we wanted to go to the engineering portion.

How did you guys do in drag? Our car ended up 340lbs wet w/o driver.

In testing we saw 3.9's because of a fuel pump failure diagnosed a bit late we ran a 4.150 putting us in 7th for accel. The Terps ran a 3.90 in accel

If you have 3rd 4th and 5th intake harmonics causing power dips on your torque curve, what can you do to bring the dips up and smooth the curve?

Better crack the whip, you have some supra stuff to work on too!

if so, how could you take a person's $1700 and then not have an eta for the product they paid for? if you knew you were busy with school, personal projects, hobbies, girlfriends blah blah blah then you should had not taken any orders...

sorry but your business conduct is ridiculous

Some customers like to give money even if there is no eta ( sometimes its to be in line for the next order ), they don't like to hold onto it. He said he informed him there was no eta and the customer still paid, whats the big deal ?

You told me the manifold would be done the following monday when I paid you the money for it which was april 5th and 8th.
Couple weeks later you said you were busy and it will be done. Then you tell Kevin its almost done it just needs final welds in mid May
A month ago you then told me you'll be working on it to finish it and then again May 23rd you told me it would be done that weekend and ready to ship it out.
Well its now the 4th of june and I have not heard from you. I text and call you all the time. I finally got a text from someone telling me you were in the hospital. Nothin after that and that was Sunday.
I did some seaching and you have posted in the Honda-tech forum since I got the hospital text.

So here's the deal, if I dont hear from you by 5pm tonight my time I will file a claim with paypal for the amount of 1,725.00 for the 2 transactions I sent you.

June 22nd 2008
I texted him asking what the deal was, all he told me was "Im working on it, please be patient" and that was it

June 27th 2008
I texted him again asking what needs to be done to get it. If it hasnt been touched then I need a refund. All he said was "at comp now" and thats it.

Very poor communication now that he has my money

Before we made the deal, I called him 20 times or so within a couple days, he did not mis 1 phone call from me. Now that he has the money Ill get him 1 out of 20 calls.

This guy has no reason to lie or make up any stories. I think Ernie got a little head over heals and couldn't deliver the product promised. I am sure your gonna come in here and give some BS as to what or why it didn't get done. Save it. You should now give him a partial refund or an entire refund to make up for the BS you put him through.

The customer was given an option to have his product EXPEDITED....to be put in the FRONT of the line for an addition 100 dollars....however the customer declined this offer and went to the back of the line. The timeframe he expected was the expedited timeframe, but he neglected to pay the expedite fee.... I'm sorry but you don't get to have your cake and eat it to.

dude.

100 fvcking bucks. just make the guy the damn manifold already. i try to stay out of these things as i feel that most people either play up or play down their situation to garner support for their side, but you are really coming across as a top shelf ******* when i have never had that impression about you in the past.

you're not really giving the impression that there is some sort of misunderstanding, rather it seems like you are saying "i am fvcking you on a technicality and i think i'm clever for it"

seriously. i never thought you to be a dick but im getting some serious dick vibes.

Really thats funny cause he specifically stated he gave that to you. That just goes to show how shady of a business person you are. What about the other paying customers that were in front of him? For the price of 100 dollars more you will throw them on the backburner?? Looks like all you give a [freak] about is money and not making customers happy. From what I have gathered thus far you are a joke and so is your hokey pokey company of yours.

Oh yeah he also said if I gave him an extra 100.00 bucks he can bump my manifold in front of 2 others he has to do so I can get mine first. So I did because I needed the manifold.

as stated above he did give you the money for the "quicker" delivery, which is bullshit cuz you just dicked over the other 2 customer you had, who had paid their money and were waiting for the products...

again, if you don't have the time please don't take people's money...
you have no idea how to run a proper business if you are doing this kind of things. i'm glad to never need your services

OK enough is enough with this. This is an issue that should not be sorted out between the two individuals and not in an open forum. Take it to email and stop posting about it. I am honestly tired of seeing it.
