Default .rternie not a good seller/fab'r right now

This is copied and paste from another forum, its kinda old (almost a month) but since this is the only place he CAN post on im posting it here now

June 5th 2008

just so you guys know about R/Ternie

Hey I need to hear from you today by 5pm my time, should be 3 or 4pm your time.
If I dont hear from you I will pull my money from paypal. Im tired of the run around, tired of beiong ignored. I took the next week off of work to head of to Neons2k8 and so did 3 other friends but now we cant make it
You told me the manifold would be done the following monday when I paid you the money for it which was april 5th and 8th.
Couple weeks later you said you were busy and it will be done. Then you tell Kevin its almost done it just needs final welds in mid May
A month ago you then told me you'll be working on it to finish it and then again May 23rd you told me it would be done that weekend and ready to ship it out.
Well its now the 4th of june and I have not heard from you. I text and call you all the time. I finally got a text from someone telling me you were in the hospital. Nothin after that and that was Sunday.
I did some seaching and you have posted in the Honda-tech forum since I got the hospital text.

So here's the deal, if I dont hear from you by 5pm tonight my time I will file a claim with paypal for the amount of 1,725.00 for the 2 transactions I sent you.

June 22nd 2008
I texted him asking what the deal was, all he told me was "Im working on it, please be patient" and that was it

June 27th 2008
I texted him again asking what needs to be done to get it. If it hasnt been touched then I need a refund. All he said was "at comp now" and thats it.

Very poor communication now that he has my money

Before we made the deal, I called him 20 times or so within a couple days, he did not mis 1 phone call from me. Now that he has the money Ill get him 1 out of 20 calls.

Im just spreading the internet word. Here is a couple links of me posting about him

I have never met the guy or even know who he is, but **** gets crazy sometimes and we just get swamped with work. Calling very 3 seconds and nagging never helps and only pisses people off.

With that said, I am always 100% straight up with people, if I know I have a lot of stuff to do I won't take the work or I will let them know it may take 2 months instead of 2 weeks. So it's not cool that he is taking so long, but it's also not cool to call the guy 20 times a day.

never said I called him 20 times a day. I called him 20 times with questions before I sent the money. Questions likes, if I sell my setup can you build this, what do you think about this turbo or that turbo. stuff like that.
what sealed the deal is he told me the manifold would be done the following Monday
which would have been April 12th or something not 3 months later.
since he has had my money i have called him about 10 times in the past 3 months

sometimes stuff like this just happens. when you spend 80% of your time doing school and other important tasks, its difficult to spend the other 20% working all the time, hes probably a little burned out. he needs some motivation and maybe a redbull...

if 80% of the time he is not able to do the work, then he should have let his customers know that he cannot accept the work or let them know when to expect it (realistically)

I agree. If you get swamped be honest. Even if it is going to be a couple months till completion then just say so. I also understand how hard M.E. schooling can be, it takes up all of your time. So lets hear ernie's side of the story before everything gets out of hand.

I find it laughable that you want him to come on here and explain his side of the story, thus wasting more time.

I deal with customers all day, 95% of them are understanding but there are a few that'll drop their car off at 6PM one night and then are calling at 8AM the next day asking if it's done yet. el o el

The OP is one of those customers.

RLY? How did you gather this?

I'm not getthing that from the story. If he's waited 3 months for his turbo manifold and stuff, and he paid $1,700.00 for the stuff. He should damn well at least get a status of it after a month. Rather than assuming he's one of those customers, you should hear the other side of the story. If indeed he paid for this stuff 3 months ago, an explanation is certainly owed to him, as he's been patient.

After 3 months he should rightfully expect it to be coated by HPC and CAD designed! rofl.

seriously. 12 weeks is a bit excessive. Don't you agree? I mean, it's not like ordering a custom mani then calling the next week and seeing if it's done (even though he was apparently promised it would be done the following week....)

I asked him like a week later how it was coming, he said it looks like a manifold with no collector on it. This was like mid april

Come mid May this guy I know local talked to him, Kevin warren, Kevin just brought it up to him on how the manifold was comin and he told kevin its almost done just needs final pass.

Nothin heard from him I called a couple times first of June and still Nothin then On June 2nd I told him I needed to hear from him soon and I get a text saying "he's in the hopistal" I asked for what and nothin back.
June 4th comes and I text him again asking whats going on because I see him posting here on Honda-tech.com and finally I get a text from him saying "I have a staph infection *******, the only thing I can do is post on HT, Ill finish your parts when Im better"

So I tell him a phone call would be nice to let me know, its apparent yours not crippled and still can use your fingers. Of course nothin back til the next day June 5th
He says. Im heading home today, I will have finals on wednesday june 11th and then school is over. I can try and get it done b4 Wednesday but most likely it will be Thursday june 12th or Friday june 13th. I tell him ok let me know

Those dates came and went and I had asked him again June 20th whats the deal and all he tells me is I need to be patient that he's working on it.

So today I asked him, I need to know if your one with the manifold, if you havent even started it then I need a refund, if you have then I need to know whats going on.
He then texts me saying " Im on comp right now" No idea what that means and he hasnt texted me back, that was 6 hours ago.

I think I have ben plunty pateint with him on this.
1 more week and its been 3 months since I paid him.

Oh yeah he also said if I gave him an extra 100.00 bucks he can bump my manifold in front of 2 others he has to do so I can get mine first. So I did because I needed the manifold.

Im out so much money from him, i prepaid for the season at the track, I missed a big car meet 900 miles away, 3 friends tookt he week off along with me so they can go also and all went to waste. Pre paid for 100gallons of diesel full for the trip and I cant use it because I dont drive a diesel.

Im not sure if he'll come on here and post/ If he does then he'll just try and cover his *** and dig me into the ground. Thats just the way he does it.

20 calls in a day. Lol. My girlfriend doesn't call me that many times in a day even if I'm ignoring my phone. OP = crazy.

Ever heard of reading comprehension? The OP's complaint sounds valid to me. I'd be pissed! I hope this isn't how you treat your customers.

I don't really feel that this is going to accomplish anything since he has not posted in almost 20 days. Now this will not be deleted, but it is not going to stay open because you obviously have posted it plenty of other places. I have messaged him to try and help.
