Default REAR DISC, 4040 prop valve??

I recently pulled a rear disc brake assembly from the yards from a dc integra. I also removed the prop valve to swap it over to my ef. But my question is will the prop valve work on my ef the same as one from a da? I keep hearing that I should get the da assembly, but on the other side I hear that the dc's will work just find. Just kinda confused about which will work. Let me know whats up, I searched but cant really find any write ups.
